Tequilera de la Barranca de Amatitan was established in 2000 by Doña Ana Rosa Carrillo and distils the excellent Tequila "Mi Tierra" and Tequila “Don Fernando”.

Tequilera de la Barranca de Amatitan follows as all our Tequila Distillers also the traditional manufacturing process and meets the standard for Original Mexican Tequila.

The monitoring of compliance with the standards for agave cultivation, production and bottling is executed by the Consejo Regulador de Tequila (CRT). NOM 1473

With the foundation also own agave fields were planted. Since 2006 high quality Agaves “Tequilana Weber Azul” are available to ensure high quality.
One of the missions of Tequilera de la Barranca de Amatitán is to contribute to the preservation of the Mexican values and traditions.
Ana Rosa Carrillo wants to transmit via the products of "Tequilera de la Barranca de Amatitán” a part of the Mexican and local culture from Jalisco.
After considerable success in the holiday regions Puerto Vallarta, Los Cabos and Cancun, export sales is growing for several years continuously.
Tequila Mi Tierra and Tequila Don Fernando is exported to the USA, Colombia, Spain, Russia and via Tequilaland to Germany, Switzerland, Austria, Netherlands, Belgium, Luxembourg. Further expansion into other markets is in preparation.

Don Fernando had a passion for distilling the perfect tequila and paid special attention to every single detail from the estate grown blue agave fully grown up to 12 years to the type of oven and oak used where Don Fernando Tequila is aged is looked at with special care.
Don Fernando Tequila is then distilled in copper stills to take away "cabezas" and "colas" to obtain crystal clear agave tequila. Don Fernando always believed in a double, not triple, distilled, for a true 100% blue agave tequila. This way you are able to maintain the unique flavours that compose the tequila.

A good tequila is one that possesses the perfect balance between the flavours of the agave and the flavours of the oak. Don Fernando is kept in limousine French oak for 24 months until it is delivered to you our customer.
